But on the other hand, when my son was in 2nd grade his teacher emailed everyone in his class photos of her 5 year old in Haloween costume. She sent the email from her personal email account on msn or yahoo or something, and put all the recipients in the "to" field, which is always particularly annoying to me.
And then all the people who hit reply all.. lol.
This was wrong on so many levels, and I wrote the school board. And of course I was then the bad guy with 'privacy issues'. Which is how i was addressed by the school secretary.
However, teachers and other school staff are not legally permitted to transfer confidential contact information outside of the school and especially not use it for personal purpose. What she did was not so worrisome, but it opens the door to exploitation. Like what if she started selling Amwsy to her students parents? Or her boyfriend started emailing her students parents offering them real estate or used car deals? It's a bad road to go down and I spoke up. Despite being 'the creep who must have something to hide' like I was the meanie.
